A weeklong event presented by Frequency Events organized on the occasion of “World Environment Day 2010″ kicked off today with “Mural Art Workshop” at Future Star Boarding School, Dallu, Kathmandu.

A mural is any piece of artwork painted directly on a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface. Murals are important in that they bring art into the public sphere. Due to the size, cost, and work involved in creating a mural, muralists must often be commissioned cialis prescription online by a sponsor. In this case, the event was sponsored by “Frequency Investments Pvt. Ltd.” It was conducted under the initiative and supervision of HeartBeat and YES, local youth led NGOs for environment.

20 school students from class 6 to 10 participated in the event. First, the concept was sketched individually by all the students. Then it was put together and painted on a 5 meter long canvas. The painting elaborated the beauty of nature as well as all the wrong doings of human on environment in the present context.

The Art piece will be displayed at Street Fest Baneshwor 2010 on June 5th. The Street Fest will feature Carbon Neutral Concert, Eco Friendly Rally and stalls with food, entertainment and environmental information.
